Colorado Gold was inspired by countless hours of my childhood spent chasing Brook trout on the little Manistee River in Northern Michigan. Capturing the fall feel and colors of the brookies was the goal of this piece. The dimension factor was far more intense then any I have ever painted. Creating depth and dimension from the light to the focal point was a very unique balance of detail and impression. I felt in the end I put the eye on a wild ride that culminates being captivated by a little brook trout and a mental question of how did Mother Nature create something so mesmerizing!
